Testimonies

Just a quick thank you from me for all your hard work and patience with O. He gets very frustrated at times with life and I know he finds his piano a release. It shows you have helped him so much by his school report. You are a very talented man James.

Lisa (Parent)

E thoroughly enjoys learning piano with James. His teaching style makes her feel relaxed and confident. She really enjoys her lessons and looks forward to them each week.

We would like to thank you for teaching John over the last year or so. He has gained much from your lessons and we have been so pleased that you have been able to continue teaching through all the difficult circumstances that have happened. John has now completed his performance for GCSE scoring  83%, so thank you for all your efforts there.

James was the organist at our wedding in September and really impressed us with his professionalism and musical skill. James invited us to meet him prior to the wedding so that we could discuss the music we wanted before, during and after the ceremony. He helped us decide on different music pieces and was also very flexible when we said we’d like some more modern music played on the organ for our guests to enjoy. He played a variety of music and was so talented. Thank you James for making our church ceremony so much more special and personal.

James is a rare thing - an accompanist who not only accompanies the choir, but also enhances the performance greatly, always musically, adding excitement and energy to push the choir to perform at their very best.

Adrian Taylor - MD, Innsworth Military Wives Choir

James has played for me as rehearsal pianist, for some years now. He is always on time, and sight reads musical and operetta scores with fluidity. This kind of work, in teaching choristers and principals their music, can often be repetitive, and therefore perhaps tedious at times during the learning process. James never shows any irritation at repeating a section ad-infinitum. When asked to play an overture, or a part of the piece not rehearsed previously, I am always impressed with his instant sight reading ability. I find James easy to get on with, and some of his add lib. playing, during coffee breaks, is a colourful addition to an evening.
