You can contact James to discuss formal piano lessons and or music theory tuition. He is a registered accompanist with the Gloucestershire Music Service, and has achieved ABRSM Grade 8 level and holds the Associate of Royal School of Music Diploma.

 

James has both an enhanced CRB and DBS check and is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians. He teaches from Grade 1 to Grade 8 level and has a high Pass rate which includes recent successes at Pass with Distinction and Merit in Piano and Distinction in Music Theory. 

 

He teaches at his home in Longlevens, Gloucester on both a Yamaha electric clavinova for younger beginners, and his new Steinburg baby grand piano for students who are either above the age of 10 or who are undertaking Grade 3 level, but can on request visit students at their home in the Gloucester area.

If you are either interested in exploring the opportunity to have piano lessons or for those wishing to continue lessons during the current lockdown period, James can also offer virtual lessons from his home. He is very familiar with a variety of programmes such as Skype, Zoom and FaceTime. Prices are listed below, and can be paid as an online banking transfer.​

2019 LESSON PRICE UPDATE

The price of an individual 30 minute lesson is now £15, which you can do on a "Pay as you Play" basis!

1 hour lessons are now available at £30.

 

There is an option to start with a 30 minute Trial Lesson at a discount of £12, enabling James to get to know you and talk about your aims and musical goals.

 

Lesson times can be negotiated in advance. If you wish to re-arrange your lesson, do allow at least 24 hours to notify this to him.

 

James can also assist anyone who wants tuition in Music Theory at all grade levels. New rates as of January 2019 are £15 for 30 minute lesson, and £30 for 1 hour.
